The National Union of Malaysian Muslim Students (PKPIM) strongly condemns Donald Trump's recent statement and proposal suggesting the relocation of Palestinians from Gaza to neighbouring countries such as Egypt and Jordan. This proposal is not only irresponsible but also violates human rights, international law, and the sovereignty of Palestinian land.
PKPIM views this as a form of immoral modern colonialism that will exacerbate the suffering of the Palestinian people and repeat the dark tragedy of the “Nakba” in 1948.
PKPIM firmly asserts that Palestinians have the right to remain in their homeland, as enshrined in international law and United Nations (UN) resolutions. The resolution of the Palestine-Israel conflict must be based on the principles of justice and territorial sovereignty, not through forced relocation that erases the identity of the Palestinian people.
Donald Trump's continued promotion of biased policies and provocative actions in support of the Zionist regime clearly contradicts the aspirations of the international community, which yearns for global peace.
PKPIM urges the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Arab League, and the United Nations (UN) to take firm action in rejecting this proposal to ensure peace and justice for Palestine are upheld.
